Ashanti Chair, Teak and White Leather Weave

Designed by South African furniture manufacturer Chris Weylandt, inspired by Danish mid-century designer Hans Wegner, the Ashanti Chair is hand-fabricated from aged teak to make it suitable for outdoor use. Instead of importing the teak timber into South Africa, Weylandts decided for a ecologically more sustainable solution by outsourcing the Ashanti chair production to Indonesia.
