Ashanti Chair, Teak and Brown Leather Weave

Designed by South African furniture manufacturer Chris Weylandt, inspired by Danish mid-century designer Hans Wegner, the Ashanti Chair is hand-fabricated from aged teak to make it suitable for outdoor use. Instead of importing the teak timber into South Africa, Weylandts decided for an ecologically more sustainable solution by outsourcing the Ashanti chair production to Indonesia.
